Cosy Moments & Happy Corners

We treated ourselves to a trip to my parent's last week. It had been quite a while since I've visited their home in a season other than summer. The garden was preparing for its winter state - leaves had fallen, blooms had faded - and I found everything to be so wonderfully captivating! Afghans and cups of cider or hot chocolate made everything feel cosy, and we spent our days resting. Some shadows came out to play, foliage was gathered and brought indoors, and I introduced the girls to The Nutcracker. All in all, it was a lovely, restful time.
Cosy bedroom shadows and rereading this wonderful book.
Morning window sills and window light reflections.
Burying themselves in leaves and a new garden protector.
Artwork that made me pause and a lovely shed full of potential.
Morning light is magical! A very happy plant.
I love this view and this shadow made me swoon.
Something about the way they've curled up makes me really happy. I want to try and sketch out those leaves.
The guardian up close and a playhouse with a door.
Reading a bedtime story and my mom gifted me with some beautiful dishcloths.
The valley that will forever hold a piece of my heart.
Morning hot chocolate and Remembrance Day music.
Working on a christmas gift and another dreamy reflection.
The very happiest of corners.
The flamingos are now ready for snow. The hedgehog was sleeping, but I woke him up to tie his toque on. Another lovely sunflower.
Beautiful zinnias. Look at those petals! Another sketching possibility.
Adding colour to the land of leaves.
Apple cider in a crock pot! Yes!! This is what November dreams are made of.
Evening and morning.
Shadows behind lovely curtains.
Cozy evening candlelight and another lovely corner.
Made some ice cream and a last, quick walk around the valley.
