2016 Pumpkin Winner

I love this little community we have here on the blog. I was blessed by receiving many messages, ideas, and love through-out the month of October over these beautiful, orange Pumpkins. I love hearing from readers, from friends & family, from strangers - I love being able to come together in collective joy over things that matter to the both of us. So before I announce any winner, I want to thank you all - for your support, for the entries you sent in, for reading and enjoying these posts. I absolutely love being part of the creative community online and I want to thank you for being such a joyful community.

This year was a really tough one, because I received pumpkins in all shapes and forms. It is what I had wanted, but I didn't realize how hard it would be to choose between them all. After pondering it for a couple of hours, I called my husband in to help make the pick, and one creation stood out to him among them all.

A huge thank you, once more, to everyone who entered this pumpkin contest! I absolutely love having it and I hope that its something that you can also look forward to. Let me know if there are any other contests you would like to see on the Knotted Home blog through-out the year.

Without Further Ado, I would love to announce that the winner of the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Contest is: Joylynn! Woo Congratulations, girl!!! (I will send you a message to ask for your mailing address, you get the homemade gift!)
"So here is my entry for the pumpkin contest: a pumpkin.

But let me explain. Never has growing a pumpkin been more profound for us. Watching my boys poke the little seeds into the soil and watch those first shoots appear. Being able to sit by our pumpkin patch and watch the bees hum and cover their little faces in pollen. Finally picking them on a crisp fall morning and bringing them inside to turn that last shade of orange. Simply the act of growing a pumpkin was such a joy as a family this year and we personally think it's one of our best creations☺️" - Joylynn
