The Studio/Classroom in Progress

As I have mentioned so many times before, we moved houses at the beginning of the year. One of the things that drew us to the place we are living now was the fact that it had three bedrooms! Our original plan was to make the smallest room into my Husband's Office, however, the layout of the house allowed for an office to be in the basement, tucked away in a corner. Bug and I immediately claimed the third small bedroom as our craft room, studio, and school room, or the Dinosaur room as the she affectionally calls it. Now, I know that Bug is too small to do school in this room, but it is my hope that she will colour, play with play dough, paint in this room. As for me, I would love to write, blog, knit, make jewellery etc.
This room was a huge disaster until my mother and brother brought me the furniture I needed for this space. I got the desk my father made for me and my brother gave me the bookshelf he made himself. I am loving all of the wood in this room.
We found this amazing dinosaur poster in one of the books Bug got for her birthday. We had to put it up on the wall. It only made sense. Why is Bug in her swimsuit, well because tinker bell is on it, of course. Where she is standing is where we are going to put her plastic table and chairs!!
The closet has built in shelves which is great for organizing all of the craft supplies. Tell me, fellow crafters, if you can fit all of your yarn on one shelf, it means that I should be buying more, right?
I spent time this morning organizing my books on the bookshelf. I am so very pleased with how it looks.
Thank you so much for reading. I really hope you enjoyed seeing this space. It is my hope to take more home photos in the next few weeks and show you how everything is coming along. xo
