We Have Moved!

We moved!! I know that you are all probably aware that my little family and I have moved houses. I feel like it is all that I have been talking about lately. I don't mean to bore or irritate anyone, I just honestly feel like it was something we survived doing it - like I want to scream at the top of my lungs in a war cry manner "We Moved! We Moved! We Moved!" I feel like we have survived, that we are alive, and that now, now, we are, finally, at the end of it all. Hooray.

Unpacking is so much easier than packing and I have to admit, I utterly failed at packing this move around. I don't know if it was because it was the Christmas season (who would want to spend Christmas Day packing?? Not Me!) or if I just assumed that we had less stuff to pack than we actually did, but I ended up packing 6 boxes on moving day! So not fun!

The move itself was probably the smoothest of all, we had a friend who watched little Bug while the men lifted everything into the truck while I cleaned and packed boxes. Of course, I was in survival mode so I didn't even feel like I was accomplishing much of anything until everything was out of the house and I could clean room by room, crossing them off the million mile todo list.

As our landlord came to look at everything, telling us how lucky he was to have us, that was when I started to feel a bit sad over the fact that we no longer live in that apartment. Mostly for Bug's room. I feel like that little room has been through so much, has held so many happy, sad, and growing moments, and really, it is all that she remembers up to this point. It was a little sad covering up some accidental pencil marks on her door. But then, we handed over our keys, wished him well, and left to our new home, our new adventure, the new place that will soon be riddled with pencil marks. Now we are at our new place and we are loving it!

It is my hope to take you all on a home tour as we get a little more settled and unpacked. I did, however, think it would be a lot of fun to go back and view our old home and the pictures that I have shared over the course of a year and a half.

Those, of course, are the main tours that I have written for the blog, yet the blog is riddled with teasers, memories, and hints at what our old place looked like. I know that it was time for a change, and I am happy for that change, I am just very thankful that I have this blog to come to and see all that has happened in the course of a year and a half - or all of Bug's life for that matter. It is so much fun to see how we have grown, to see how our things have been moved from one room to another, even to see how my photography has changed. I enjoy this process a lot and I hope that you do as well. Like I mentioned above, I will definitely be posting a house tour soon. xo
