"The Leaves by Hundred Came ..."

I know that I have already posted some of the photographs you will see in this post in other things that I have written or on my Instagram account. But I cannot help myself. I am in love with October. I half wish that I could live in a land that always stayed the season of fall. It would rain, it could lightly snow, the days could be warm enough for t-shirts, yet the breeze cool enough to remind of life in the mountains. I could buy a ridiculous amount of sweaters and scarves, and pumpkin spice everything would be here forever. We would make it a tradition to carve a new pumpkin every week and have bonfires & smores every Sunday. The geese would stay forever and the trees would produce an endless supply of leaves to fall which would last a couple of days and then melt away. (I don't really like raking leaves!!) Would anyone else want to join me in Octoberville?

October's Party
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundred came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band."
