My Inspiration List

Have you ever felt uninspired?
Like all of your motivation drained away from you? Like sand falling through fingers?

The last couple of weeks I have had another draining spell. There is nothing worse than being surrounded by ideas & projects & other creators, and have absolutely no wish to partake in anything, no drive to get stuff done, no inspiration to be found at all. I have stopped writing, stopped knitting, stopped blogging - everything fell away.

I am on a higher dosage of thyroid medication and the Dr. seems to think that this will be it for me. I hope so. This lack of energy and motivation is getting to me. I hate feeling this way.

In the meantime, while I am waiting for my medication to kick in, I am surrounding myself with things that have inspired me in the past. Shows, music, smells, ideas for future projects, writing out todo lists, figuring out household projects, & looking at yummy recipes. Fall has always inspired me in the past, so I am hoping that this season will help boost my mood and energy.

I wanted to make a list of a few things that have been inspiring me for two reasons. One) So that I can turn to this list on days that I need that little kick in my pants and Two) so that if you find yourself in a creative rut, maybe on of these ideas can help you. I hope you enjoy, and I hope that if you are feeling uninspired, that you will soon break away from it and find joy & creativity in the new season to come.
