We were unable to make the same recipe that my mom used for us once upon a time, however, we did find one online that looked promising. Wanting to start the tradition of making homemade play-dough for Bug, we took a chance and gathered all of the ingredients together.

After it cooled down a little more, we gave it to Bug to play with. She really liked it and I enjoyed the grape smell that the kool-aid gave it. The texture and resilience of the dough is a really good fit for Bug as well. She can mould it, break it apart, stretch it, and play with it as she wants, and I found that this recipe is slightly stronger than the store bought play-dough we have at home. I also really like the amount of play-dough one recipe makes - which is way more than all of the store-bought play dough we have at home. BONUS. This recipe is a win in my books, even though the colour was not as purple as I would have hoped. Bug enjoyed playing with it, and in the end, that is all that matters.
Since there are so many different kinds of recipes out there, I would love to know which recipes are your favourite. Let me know in the comments below or share a link with me, I would love to test them and see how Bug enjoys playing with them. I am also hoping we will find my mom's old recipe to try as well, so fingers cross, we will find it. xoxo
