Once we said goodbye to our friends, Bug and I decided to go play in the park once more; this time bringing a picnic of cheerios and water. My little girl loves the outdoors, loves the sunshine, and loves collecting leaves, pine cones, rocks, and anything else that she finds. I really want to find her a little back-pack so that she can have a place to put all of her treasures.
I am really thankful that Bug loves being outside. I really do enjoy walking and getting fresh air, however, I find that the never-ending house work, homework, writing, or other activities seem to take precedence in my mind. I always kick myself for not taking that break that I need to enjoy the sun. Bug is a good little reminder to take that break. She will grab her shoes first thing in the morning and wear them all day if I let her. She will grab her coat or bang on the door when she wants to go outside. When I get caught up with the little chores of life, she reminds me to slow down, to take a break, to enjoy our surroundings. Its so good for the both of us to be outside, so important to our health. I am so thankful for my little Lovebug and I cannot wait to take her hiking this year!
