Honey & Milk Blackhead Remover

Winter can be so harsh to my skin. With dry skin and acne problems, I have also been dealing with some nasty blackheads that like to appear at the tip of my nose. What is going on? Why does my skin hate me? Bah. Lately I have been playing around with some natural ways to help remove unwanted blackheads and keeping them gone. I want to see if there is something out there that can help me with my problem without me having to buy a million products to find that one that might work. We will see where this takes me.

Milk & Honey
There are so many amazing benefits that occur when applying honey and milk to the face. Honey is amazing at removing acne and blackheads because it contains glycolic acid. Milk is great at keeping the skin moisturized. I thought that the two of these things would be a great way in starting my journey of clearer skin!

DO NOT use this recipe if you are allergic to either milk or honey!

1 Large Tablespoon of organic honey
1 tsp of Milk
1 Clean cotton pad or strip
Combine both ingredients in a microwavable-safe bowl and heat for 5-10 seconds. Mix the mixture together. Make sure that the mixture is not going to burn you before applying it to your nose!! Apply a thin layer to your nose and place the cotton pad on top. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes before taking it off. It won't rip off your nose (I was slightly disappointed that it came off so easily), but will gently slide off. Wash the remainder of the mixture from your nose and apply lotion. Do this several times a week.
I am currently on my second week of using this mixture on my nose. Not only does it taste delicious, teehee, but I have noticed that my pores are getting cleaned out. WIN! It is not perfect by any means, but it is a start. I also think that I look pretty darn cute with a cotton pad on my nose!
I will probably switch up the recipe in a week or two, but I wanted to make sure that I was giving this one a chance. Removing blemishes and blackheads is not an instant fix, but a process, as is everything. Even if I have to try a few recipes, I will find something that my skin loves and I will be glad.
I am not a doctor, I cannot guarantee any results from any of these remedies that I try, all I have to offer is my own personal experience of trial, error, and hopefully success. Consult your doctor before trying anything that you are not sure about.
