Railroad Bones

Last Thursday was an extremely foggy day in the country. Of course, that was the day that I chose to go for my walk. I grabbed my brother and dragged him out with me, and together, we ventured out into the fog. He was in search of railroad metal and I in search of a beautiful owl that made its home in nearby trees. My brother was more successful than I and the owl chose to remain hidden from my camera. I wasn't upset though, in a way it made the walk even better. I heard him 'hoo' the entire time I was out, and I found other beautiful things to take pictures of. The fog made it such a peaceful walk with a hint of creepy; talk about the perfect setting for a book. Take a walk with me and lets get lost in the fog together.
I do find it sad that the railroad got torn up in my hometown. I have way too many memories of seeing a train and it makes my heartbreak knowing that I will never hear it chug along anymore. I have a soft spot in my heart for all things train. Even in the city when we are stuck behind one for far too long, I secretly kind of love it. xoxo

  1. Lovely pics! I miss the train as well; though you captured the forlorn quality of it's 'lingering' call.

    1. Oooh! I love the image you just painted. "Forlorn quality of its 'lingering' call" xo
