February Favourites

I would like to take a moment to thank you! You guys have responded so great when I updated the look of the Knotted Home and it has made me so excited to think of this blog growing. It is so neat to see exactly which posts you guys like every month through my little page counter and I love it whenever I see comments or likes or shares on my Facebook Page. You are all amazing and not only does it make me happy to see that you are reading my blog, but it excites me and encourages me.

March is (almost) here. The sun is shinning, the air smells fresh, and all I can think about is buying flowers and plants for my home. I am ready for spring, to spend time outdoors, and I am ready to start smelling the flowers.

For the blog this month I have a few more DIY crafts, home tours, and recipes for my toddler planned. I also really want to bake a pie! Apple to be exact. I will still be partaking in the Happiness Project, Undertaking Creativity as well as my Self Portrait and Project 365 photo challenges. I would love to hear from you what you would like to see more of. Would you like me to do more reviews? Certain kinds of DIY's? Certain kinds of recipes? Tour around my home city more? I would love to hear what you think and what kind of blog posts that you would enjoy reading. I started this blog for myself and everything you see will be a reflection of my life and how I see things, however, I would love to know if there is anything that you guys want me to write about more.

Before we continue talking about what's coming next, I want to take a moment to look back. I cannot believe that its the end of the month again! It is going by way too fast, but really I shouldn't complain. In past years January and February are my worse months and usually tick by too slowly. I am just so thankful that the sun is shinning constantly and that I have dear friends who get me out of the house. Both of those factors have helped me to stay away from the Winter Blues for the most part as well as made these typically slow months swim past me - and now they are over.

I would like to take a moment and share with you some of the posts that were your favourites as well as my own. The first five of these pictures are posts that have proven to be popular by you, dear readers, are for that I am ever so thankful. The last five pictures are posts that I absolutely loved this month. I mean, I love them all, I wouldn't be writing them if I didn't, however, there are those that just get me excited. So enough talking, here are our February favourites. xo
I just wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to the Stitchin' Sisters from Cozy Up Designs who contributed to the Maker Series. Their post on all of their lovely knitted items became my most popular post in the history of the Knotted Home. Isn't that exciting? Their items are so lovely and the yarn is fantastic to work with! If you haven't checked out their Etsy shop yet, you really should.
February has been a month of firsts for me. My first review post of the Lil Bloomers Boutique was a hit and easily second of your favourite posts of mine to read. Their dresses are amazing and I will repeat this again, if you have a little girl somewhere in your life, she NEEDS one of their dresses
I went for a foggy walk one day while I was visiting my mother. The pictures are a perfect setting for a book - whether creepy or romantic.
It makes me so happy that my art journal in Undertaking Creativity was another favourite of yours this month. I have lots of ideas to add to it and I cannot wait to create an updated post for the journal.
Who doesn't love tacos? This recipe took fifth place in your guys top picks! It was pretty yummy.
One of my favourite things to photograph are sunsets - they are different every day and they are beautiful in different ways. Always and forever changing - our God is amazing.
This weeks Project 365 post has been my favourite. I just feel like it really sums up my life and I love that. If you would like to check out all of my other photos, click here
This month was an amazing one for me. I am reading the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and the focus in February was love. I had so many "aha" moments this month.
You NEED to make this right now. Just stop reading this blog post and go make it. MMM
Board games are an awesome way to spend quality time with your spouse, children, or with friends. I wrote a little piece about some of the new ones we recently added into our collection.
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we will see you in March! xo
