Banana Bread French Toast

This recipe has been on my to-make list for such a long time. However, I kept putting it off. Breakfast is one of my favourite meals to eat, but unless I have people to cook for (and my husband always has something in the mornings) I usually end up just eating oatmeal.
This Sunday we decided to try out an new church that doesn't start until 2:00pm! That's right! It was amazing. We got to sleep in, enjoy a bit of morning as a family, make a delicious breakfast: all before we head out to church.
This recipe is so easy and I thought would be amazing to make for Valentine's Day - especially if you enjoy the its-more-of-a-dessert-than-a-breakfast breakfast!
All you need is a loaf of banana bread. I use the Company's Coming recipe - it has been a favourite of my family for a very long time. Usually I throw onto a brown sugar and cinnamon mixture to make the banana bread even tastier, however, since I knew that we were going to be throwing maple syrup on it, I opted out.
The recipe for the coating is very simple.
3 eggs
1/4 Cup milk
Mix mix mix. Coat the sides of the loaf evenly and cook in a frying pan until golden brown. Of course, if you have your own recipe you can use that. This is one I just found on the internet and it worked for this loaf. I also found another option where I could have added a little bit of pineapple juice to the coating to make it a little tastier. I will definitely have to try that one day.

I hope you enjoy this recipe. xoxo
