Gift Ideas For The Toddler In Your Life

I am a believer in the fact that children should grow up in a home that encourages imagination and character development through the means of stimulation other than television or game consoles. I believe in books and reading to children. I believe in imaginary play. I encourage my daughter to have quiet time in which she just plays with herself - she loves it and she is not even a year old. So far she doesn't need a television to calm her down, I do not need to give her my iPad to distract her, and she absolutely loves it when I read a book. Not to say that technology doesn't have a place in the family (see my Children + Technology post to see my views), but I personally love finding new ways to entertain Bug, to teach her something new, to have her explore a new way to play. Down below I have listed a few toys that I think would make great gifts for the toddler in your life without (yet) introducing them to movies, game consoles, and iPhone games. I hope you enjoy.

I would also now like to introduce you to one of my favourite bloggers of all times. Maiedae just recently posted an amazing checklist for new mom's and babies. If you need a gift for a new mom, someone who is pregnant, or a way to treat yourself for the holidays, I would recommend checking out this list below.
They have everything, everything that as I, a mom, have, wish I had, and will proceed to get when we do decide to have another child. And not only is this list amazing, but they also have great makeup reviews as a beautiful print shop. Even more ideas for the holidays! Go check them out.

What other gifts do you like buying for toddlers? I would love to hear what you think!
Merry Christmas. xoxo
