Reading: I have just started reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. And by just started, I actually mean I have only read the back cover. But I am excited to read it and find ways to "focus on the things that really matter."

Thinking about: what this year is going to hold for us. I cannot believe how fast time flies, how in an instant things change, how the world is full of so many different options, opinions, possibilities, & stories. We have started a new chapter in our lives and I am excited to see how we use every single minute of it to grow, love more, and experience more of life.

Listening: to silence. I am really trying to get to the point where I don't "have" to listen to noise during the day. Make our own music: laughter, random songs that come to mind, the hum of the dishwasher, the birds singing in my trees! Music is great every once in a while (especially during housework) but silence is important as well. Plus Bug is a bit of a chatterbox, if I put music on, she will just compete with it! Ha!

Watching: Lovebug grow & grow, and move, and explore. She is figuring out how to get from sitting to a crawling position. She is always so excited when she figures out how to move the way she wants too. It is so cute. I cannot believe how fast she is growing (I know I have already said this a thousand times, but seriously ... she is growing way too fast). Its so neat to see her personality come out, figure out what she hates and what she loves! How she responds to others, how she tells me its bedtime, how she quivers when I giver her cereal (oh she hates it!). I wouldn't trade the moments I get to spend with her for the world.

Anticipating: going to the mountains! I love the mountains. I dream of the mountains. I hope to one day live in the mountains and spend my mornings on a rocking chair on my front porch with a ukelele in hand. I just love them. We are planning many of vacations to the mountains this summer and I couldn't be happier.

Loving: the warm weather. I want to be outside more and more. I am so happy that Bug loves being outside just as much as I do. We have a little patio area that we hang out almost every day, we go on walks, and I love it when we go on hikes on the weekend. I want to take advantage of this summer and all the lovely outdoor type events that are happening in our city.

Working on: my new home. We recently just moved into a larger apartment and I am so happy with it. I cannot wait to put all of our treasures all over the place. Our last apartment was a place we were just living until we could find a home sort of place. AKA NOT HOME. We didn't put up pictures at all and we were basically living out of boxes. Not this time. This new place is somewhere I am hoping to stay for years so I want to make it home. Our home. Right now I am trying to figure out shelving possibilities for the living room. I want them to hold our favourite books, plants and other breakable items that I don't want Bug to get into and break. We are definitely baby proofing as we unpack our home. Thinking of all the things she can get into, what could harm her etc.
