Healthy Eggnog Smoothie

Say what? Let me repeat myself. Here is where you will find a Healthy Eggnog Smoothie!

I was craving something sweet today and since I cleansed my pantry & every single nook of chocolate and other sweet temptations that I cannot resist, I had nothing to satisfy my sweet tooth. Talk about absolute misery. I remember reading about this recipe when it popped up on my Facebook page and I "had" to make it today.

It was so good. Now, of course, it is NOTHING like the sweet, delicious, fattiness of eggnog that comes into stores during the Christmas season. However, its sweet similar texture and nutmeg taste left my tastebuds satisfied. It also left my brain happy since I didn't consume a million calories with one glass like its possible to do with actual eggnog. I give this recipe a thumbs up!

Ingredients.
3 cups of Almond Milk
1 Banana
1/2 Tsp of Ground Nutmeg
1 Tsp of Almond Extract
2 Dates, pitted.

Directions.
Blend all ingredients together.

Notes.
I do have a crappy blender so I found that the dates did not blend so easily. If I had known that there would be a couple of chunks left over, I would have cut them up finely. Also, I personally found that there was a little too much almond taste to my smoothie. Next time I will probably do 1/2 tsp of the extract instead.
