Our Tanuf: the Mud Ruins

This was by far my favourite place to visit so far in Oman. A little village, 15 minutes outside of Nizwa, has these mud ruins of a city long forgotten. I must apologize in advance as this post is very picture heavy. You have been warned.
 A little Jiminy Cricket friend.
The cool part is that we were able to walk in amongst all of the structure, climb on anything we wanted. The sad part is that since we are able to walk amongst everything, this mud city will not be here much longer. Another sad thing is that there were some areas of this city clearly used for parties: broken glass and cigarette butts made the floor of most shelters. I loved it. I loved it so much. There was only one little part that I could not travel to as my belly would not allow it, but the Husband took my camera and got some shots for me from above.
